In honor of my short film being selected to this year's 2023 Miami Underground Film Festival, I created this montage poster to 'Knock 'em Dead', one of my early short films. I shot this epic back in 2003 on the island of Aruba starring my long-time magic assistants and me too! 

No iPhones back then, it might have made filming on top of Haystack Mountain (a former volcano) for the big finish a whole lot easier.

 I've written a new short SCI-FI comedy THE BRAINERS, I plan to film it in South Florida, late Sept on weekends or early October, then edit it up for film festivals.

One hundred years ago, illusionist P.T. Selbit put a woman in a box on the stage of London's Finsbury Park Empire and sawed right through the wood, creating a magical classic, however, my torture chamber has been drastically reduced with no box, in my original illusion, I call; "Adam Steinfeld's X-Sword Illusion", I created it in 1996, that uses no stocks, and no other equipment apart from a large scimitar-style sword, it's been part of my main show ever since, non-stop and receives huge applause.

 I received my award-winning finalist "coffee cup" for my buddy detective short STYX & STONER, at The 2020 Single-Take Challenge Screening and Awards Weekend! It now sits next to my 2 fake Oscars (see photo below), 

I hope to trade it in for a real Oscar one day. 

Thanks again to 2020 Single-take Challenge, and Actor's Cultural Theatre, INC., short is now streaming live for a few weeks at the 35th annual Ft. Lauderdale film festival.

STYX & STONER  is nearly finished, I directed last week with the actors of the Actor's Cultural Theatre, INC., my final step is editing in the end credits, very proud of it so far, it looks amazing, all shot in just 1 take, short will also feature two original songs "This World" & "Everyman is a Warrior" by singer/songwriter Lena Raye, her music can be found on Spotify, Amazon.com & Bandcamp.com.  

Storyline concerns a missing magicians assistant, and Styx & Stoner are called to investigate, all shot in just 1 take.

Great news, my short micro-film "CREEZY, Where are you?" I shot last year with actors of 

Actors Cultural Theater/Broward (Olga Gavrilenko, Ed Casas and Jefferson) has been selected to screen today Sunday August 18, at the Fifth Annual "Filmed in Broward" event that promotes Broward based filmmakers, as well as independent films short in the country.

Screenings are FREE to the public and a reception in honor of the filmmakers follows the last screening on both Saturday Aug 17 and Aug. 18 Sunday.
